"I received 5,480 blows on My Body. If you wish to honor them in some way, say 15 Our Fathers and 15 Hail Mary’s with the following Prayers for a whole year. When the year is up, you will have honored each one of My Wounds."
Our Lord to Saint Bridget15 Prayers (of Saint Bridget)
+ Sign of the Cross:In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. FIRST PRAYER Our Father… Hail Mary…O Jesus Christ! Eternal Sweetness to those who love Thee, joy surpassing all joy and all desire, Salvation and Hope of all sinners, Who hast proved that Thou hast no greater desire […]
V: The angel of the Lord declared to Mary: R: And she conceived of the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary… | V: Behold the handmaid of the Lord: R: Be it done unto me according to Thy word. Hail Mary… | V: And the Word was made Flesh: R: And dwelt among us. Hail Mary… | V: Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, R: that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. | V: Let us pray: Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts; that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection, through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen. | V: 'Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you' (Lk 1: 28) | R: 'Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb' (Lk 1: 42).
AmenLord, make me an instrument of your peace: | where there is hatred, let me sow love; | where there is injury, pardon; | where there is doubt, faith; | where there is despair, hope; | where there is darkness, light; | where there is sadness, joy. | O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek | to be consoled as to console, | to be understood as to understand, | to be loved as to love. | For it is in giving that we receive, | it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, | and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
AmenMy Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
AmenO my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven, and the pains of hell; but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life.
